Diagnostics and dancing…

A huge thanks to all those who helped to put on our wonderful Congo Kobina evening on 19th November, and especially to rhythm rattling Grupo Lukito who managed to entice most of us onto the dance floor within 5 minutes… ! Watch a clip here.

We were also so thankful that our partners Tony from Medaid and Jamie and Huw from  head office of Fujifilm UK who were able to tell us how we’ve equipped operating theatres with Medaid’s support and how we are pioneering the latest x-ray technology in the one of our hospitals in eastern Congo.

We’ve had a tremendous response to our Christmas Appeal, with 63 people donating a total of £8,997 to date, and 4 more people committing to standing orders , helping us grow all our work.

We’re raising funds to buy equipment and supplies for the hospitals we support to better diagnose people with acute and chronic disease.  We’d love to be able to supply several hospitals with biochemistry and haematology analysers. And if we raise our target of £60,000 we would hope to also buy another of the digital x-ray machines to give another hospital this brilliant diagnostic technology.  There are many ways of donating, including direct bank transfer (no transaction cost) or via the appeal page.

We also took the time to tell you more about our Semiliki approach, including how we invest in people.
